The three-channel installation "Fish Tank" (2013) shows girls at the aquarium of the Bochum zoo.
A mysterious film. The big, toneless fish sometimes look like zombies. They travel their orbits cold and obstinate. The girls sit around, detached: do they even look at the fish? Two of them lie in each other’s arms. They do not speak or move. Some of them stand between the aquariums. They are waiting, but nobody comes to activate them. It is as if the aquarium is their inner world, they are separated from it by the pane of glass. A gurgling sound can be heard. The faces themselves become the dividing surface. The aquarium symbolizes what is happening in the mind. Their gaze is turned inward, they look directly through the camera. (...) Is the glass of the aquarium an intentionally shielded view into the sheer infinite past; a separating pane that I bounce off of as the world has become unfamiliar to me?

Die Dreikanal-Installation Fish Tank (2013) zeigt Mädchen im Aquariumhaus des Tierparks Bochum. Es ist ein rätselhafter Film. Die großen, in den Farben stumpfen Fische sehen manchmal wie Zombies aus. Stur ziehen sie ihre Bahnen. Die Mädchen sitzen herum, unbeteiligt: Schauen sie sich überhaupt die Fische an? Zwei halten sich in den Armen. Sie sprechen und bewegen sich nicht. Einige stehen zwischen den Aquarien. Sie warten, aber niemand kommt und aktiviert sie. Es ist, als wäre das Aquarium die Innenwelt, von der die Mädchen durch die Glasscheibe getrennt sind. Ein gurgelndes Geräusch ist zu hören. Die Gesichter werden selbst zur Trennfläche. Das Aquarium ist, was im Kopf passiert. Die Gesichter sind nach innen gekehrt, der Blick in die Kamera geht durch die Kamera hindurch. (...) Ist das Glas des Aquariums der ausgeblendete Blick in eine schier unendliche Vergangenheit? Trennscheibe, an der ich abpralle, weil die Welt mir fremd geworden ist?
